
This sealed CONAN THE BARBARIAN Third EYE BLACKLIGHT PUZZLE Poster from MARVELMANIA 1971 is a rare and unique collectible item for fans of the iconic Robert E. Howard character Conan the Barbarian. The boxed puzzle contains 500 smaller pieces which react under ultraviolet light [blacklight] which was extremely popular with tuned in teenagers in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The original packaging box is still SEALED with the original cellophane shrinkwrap used in that era. There are a couple of tears in the cellophane, but the box was never opened.
There are a few stress creases on the exterior box due to storage over the past 54 years. The bottom of the box shows some tanning but no water nor heat damage. The puzzle artwork was first published in Marvel Comics CONAN THE BARBARIAN #8 in 1971 (see photo #17) drawn by Barry Windsor-Smith and Tom Palmer with Tom Sutton. The same year that this puzzle was made. The puzzle design had the text replaced with new artwork to fill the area.
