VINTAGE BLACK LIGHT POSTER DISNEY Memorial Orgy WALLY WOOD 1967 SEX SATIRE

  
Often referred to as the Disney "Memorial Orgy". Oster, t his now classic satire of Disney characters first appeared in black and white as a center spread poster in the May 1967 issue of the counter-culture publication The Realist. Not long after being printed in that issue, this art was remade and reprinted as a blacklight poster. The highly collectible poster caused quite a sensation when it was first published in 1967 and its popularity prompted Disney to file a lawsuit which was eventually settled out of court.

The poster was then pulled from distribution and many were destroyed. Wallace "Wally" Wood was one of the original "Mad Magazine" illustrators. This is a great, rare, piece of memorabilia. 17 3/4" x 28 1/2", orignal 1960s art. Rich, vivid neon colors and standard poster paper.

This is a pre-used, pre-owned poster that is decades old. One corner is torn off (pictured) and there is a 1 tear along with wear long the edge of the poster. One corner is creased in an ear-marked way.

Otherwise this poster has survived for 50+ years pretty well! Poster has been in temperature controlled storage for 25+ years.
